Testing Has Begun!

We have completed our first week of annual Smarter Balance (a.k.a. CAASPP) testing for grades 3-8! In previous years these tests were all conducted in the computer lab by Mr. Comm in the span of a week. However, with the acquisition of a second Chromebook cart this year and the decommission of the computer lab, things look a little different.  Tests are now administered by our teachers, take place in the classroom, and occur over the course of a month to best fit each class’ unique schedule and age appropriate needs. For this reason your child(ren) may complete all their tests in one week or take them spread out over the course of several weeks. We feel this creates a more comfortable and effective testing environment responsive to the needs of our students. Although snacks are provided during testing, please do your best to send your child to school well fed and rested everyday to do their best, whether it’s a test day or not!
