Open House
Thank you for joining us at last Thursday’s Open House. Many students and families toured our amazing school, visiting past, present, and future classrooms.
Movie Night
At the request of our Student Council, and after much consideration and research, we are showing Men in Black at the May 17th movie night. Please note this movie is rated PG-13. Students must always be accompanied by an adult to attend movie night, but due to content that may not be acceptable to all families, a signed permission form must also be returned to school for students to attend. Comic violence and cursing earned this rating, but there may be other scenes deemed unacceptable by some families. Taco Tuesday
On Tuesday, May 14th, our school will take part in the seventh annual region wide Taco Tuesday! The lunchtime event will showcase tacos made with local beef. Clint Victorine and the ranchers that sell through his Pacific Pastures and Eel River Organic Beef labels are once again the primary sponsors. Their beef cattle are completely free of steroids, antibiotics, hormones, and genetically modified foods. Please join us for lunch that day! Pre-order forms have been sent home to help us plan accordingly.
“Thank You” from 7th Grade!
The Class of 2020 wishes to thank everyone that made El Dia de la Fiesta a success! They raised over $5,000 for their class trip and graduation. Wow!
Attendance Cup
Congratulations to Mrs. Sturdevant’s fourth grade class for winning the April Attendance Cup with a 96+% attendance rate. That makes them two time winners! Maybe they’ll go for 3?
Lunch on the Lawn
Friday, May 31st, we are having Lunch on the Lawn. Families are welcome to bring a lunch, or order whole wheat pizza from the cafeteria (please order a few days in advance) and sit on the back lawn with your child. Grades TK-3 eat from 11:45-12:10, and grades 4-8 eat from 12:20-12:40. See you on the lawn!
