Priorities Survey
After two brainstorming events (Coffee with the Principal and Family Pizza Dinner) we are ready for the next phase in developing our district Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). This document, which will be approved by the school board by July 1, defines our goals as a school district and informs how our annual budget is allocated.
The next step is to share some of the ideas from the brainstorming events and see how the families at large rank them. Please take some time to take the survey (found here), or you can request a paper copy of the survey. Remember, your input matters!
Spelling Bee
Congratulations to Samantha Duncan for finishing 4th at the county junior high spelling bee! She once again represented our school at this event and we’re very proud of her.
Cafe Read A Latte
Join the Hydesville Parent Group Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week in the gym from 8-8:30 for the annual Cafe Read A Latte event. Celebrate Dr. Seuss and share your love of reading with your child by coming to one, two, or all three mornings. Coffee, beverages, and light breakfast will be available.

Booster Club Fundraiser
The Hydesville Sports Booster Club is holding its annual March Madness fundraiser at the Fortuna Fire Hall on Saturday, March 23, from 6-9pm. Raffles, silent auction, a no host bar, and live streamed NCAA games for only $30 per person, or $50 per couple! Please note, although all proceeds go to Hydesville Elementary athletics, this is a 21 and older event.

Box Tops
Our Box Tops for education drive was a success! The initial count put us somewhere around 1,000 Box Tops in just two weeks. That’s an average of 100 per day! Keep saving and sending in those Box Tops since we will have another chance to earn money for our school next school year.
Athletic Director
We seek an athletic director for the 2019-2020 school year. If you know someone that might be interested in applying for this stipend position please encourage them to contact the office soon.
